FashionVerse: AI Fashion Platform
An AI fashion platform built first for designers in Syria: from one description to a complete Product Kit, with images, names, sizes, a price and posts ready to sell.
Next.jsLaravelPostgreSQLAI

Context
A small designer pays for the sample before knowing whether it will sell. The fabric is cut, the tailor is paid, the shoot is booked, and only then does marketing start. FashionVerse reverses that order: the designer sees the collection and tests it before any fabric is cut.
Scope I disclose publicly
- A Next.js front end (App Router, TypeScript, Tailwind, shadcn/ui), Arabic by default with RTL, plus English, through next-intl.
- A modular Laravel API with Sanctum authentication, Redis queues and Horizon.
- One AI gateway (AiGateway) in front of swappable providers, generating images, text and video through Kie.ai asynchronously.
- A credits and coins system for usage, and a cost ledger for every AI call.
- S3-compatible storage behind signed URLs only, with PostgreSQL and Redis, all in Docker Compose.
Decisions and trade-offs
- Every AI call goes through one gateway, so changing a provider or its cost cap never touches the interface.
- Generation is asynchronous with a callback, because an image or a video can take a minute and a request should not hang on it.
- Arabic is the default language from the first line, not a translation added at the end.
- The trade-off: a large scope means building in phases, each with a test gate before the next one starts.
The repository is private and the product is in a pilot with designers. I can demo it live on a call.
Disclosure: Work in progress. The fashion images in the interface are AI-generated concepts and are labelled as such inside the platform. I publish no usage figures.
