Academy Platform: Structured Video Courses, Quizzes & Student Progress Tracking

Context

Students preparing for national exams need curriculum-aligned structure — grade, track, subject, unit, lesson, and practice quiz — rather than unstructured video playlists.

Scope I disclose publicly

  • Multi-level curriculum hierarchy (track, grade, subject, unit, lesson) with per-student completion tracking.
  • Lesson workspace combining video playback, downloadable PDF summaries, and interactive self-assessment quizzes.
  • Instructor and admin portal for curriculum publishing and enrollment management.

Decisions and trade-offs

  • Modeling the full academic taxonomy explicitly so students only see subjects relevant to their grade and branch.
  • Keeping quiz evaluation server-side to preserve assessment integrity.
  • The trade-off: a strict academic hierarchy fits curriculum-driven schools well, but requires more setup than a flat course marketplace.
